  • The number of registration in 2016 were 7.5 lacs and 11.5 lacs in 2017.

  • The total number of candidates who appeared for the exam in 2016 was 7.3 lacs and 11.2 lacs in 2017.

  • The total number of available seats in 2016 were 56,000 and 55,000 in 2017.

Latest updates in CBSE NEET 2018

  • A maximum of 3 attempts is allowed for ewvery candidate to apper in NEET. The authorities clarified that NEET 2017 will be counted as a first attempt for all candidates, irrespective of their previous attempts in AIPMT/NEET.

  • The maximum age limit to appear for NEET is 25 years. For SC/ST category there is a relaxation of 5 years.

  • NEET has replaced AIPMT and other regional/ individual medical courses entrance examination since 2016, as per the directive of Supreme Court of India.

  • Urdu, Oriya and Kannada Languages will be included in NEET 2018.
    Provision of an online portal by CBSE is now open so that all petitioners and non-petitioners can apply for the entrance exam.

Latest updates in AIIMS MBBS 2018

  • AIIMS MBBS 2017 conducted in two sessions for three and half hours duration. The exam will consist of 200 multiple choice questions. Physics(60 questions), Chemistry(60 questions), Biology(60 questions) and General Knowledge(20 questions). For each correct answer +1 mark and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
